Thank you Lydia for a great posting about Kudos! We are growing quickly (actually at 75,000 researchers now) and still very young compared to some of the bigger platforms. We will get there! We are in the middle of a study with Nanyang Technological University which will provide an independent answer to the question of how using Kudos helps increase your readership and impact. One key difference between us and services like ResearchGate and Academia is that you can take a Kudos trackable link and share it in any network (including those two, but also social media, email, even offline) - then we map the results against a range of metrics that transcend any individual network. So when you share in ResearchGate, you are only sharing with other ResearchGate users, and you can only measure the success within ResearchGate. Kudos enables you to compare the effectiveness of e.g. ResearchGate with all the other channels you might be using, so you can learn which is best for you to spend your time on.

Thanks again for a great post! Best wishes from Oxford!
